In May 2012 we held our first exhibition of Sid Burnard’s magical driftwood sculptures at the Goldmark Gallery.
Sid’s sculptures are made entirely from material sourced from his beach-combing expeditions. He does not cut, carve, sand or alter in any way the wood and other ephemera he sources from which he creates boats, harbour scenes and mythical birds and beasts.
The show was a roaring success and cemented Sid’s reputation as the Gallery’s most smile-inducing artist.
A second show of Sid’s work is currently planned for May 2016 and will be accompanied by copies of Sid’s memoirs which Goldmark will be publishing to coincide with the exhibition.
